I recently set up an express entry profile. I got accepted under the Canadian experience class. My skilled work experience dates are mach 21, 2015 to February 5, 2016. I did over 2000 hours. However, that is not one full year of experience.

The express entry set up only gives the option of months and years when setting up work history section. Do you think they will penalize me for that or it is OK to go on with the process ?

My advice is for you to not accept any Invitation to Apply until after March 21, 2016- that way, you don't get penalized at all. You will be missing, at most, one draw.
