Dear All,
Apologies in advance. I tried reading the forums and FAQ on the CIC site but it still wasn't quite clear. For reference I am from Australia, which is visa exempt. Anyway, as of today my application for the 'IEC Young Professionals program was successful and I received the port of entry letter.
All the best,
Sammy

- I need to arrive a week early before my job contract start date so that I can move in, settle and get everything sorted out. The question is, can I do this? I assumed that the work permit was valid only for the duration of my job contract. Will I have to do something crazy like leave the country and re-enter on my start date to be given a work permit?
- Is it true that if I want to stay in Canada as a tousit/visitor after my contract, I need to arrange this?
All the best,
Sammy
