Clarification on physical presence calculator

Hi,

I arrived in Canada on Sept 1, 2019 as a landed PR via FSW route (Express Entry)

I am checking my eligibility for citizenship as I crossed the 3rd year mark, there is a question in the Physical Presence Calculator:

" Did you leave Canada between 2017-09-08 and 2022-09-07? Answer 'Yes' if you left Canada for any reason including vacation, work, business, family matters, school, illness, etc. "

I was not in Canada yet before Sept 1, 2019 (and the question is asking for a date range extending before my arrival) so I am not sure what the answer is for this? I haven't left Canada since arriving on Sept 1, 2019.

Physical Presence Calculator is designed to cater all the people with many different scenarios. There could be some people who came to Canada as visitor, student (,etc..) before they became PR and they might have different data to enter. Hence that period is on the question.

If you never left Canada after you arrived, then you say No to that question.
