Clarification needed on what constitutes Skilled work experience under CEC

A warm hello to everyone!

I was hoping someone can bring some clarification to this rather vague classification as referred to under the skilled worker experience. Under the Canadian Experience Class, and according to the NOC skilled experience relates to:

- Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or
- Skill Level A (professional occupations) or
- Skill Level B (technical occupations and skilled trades)

My question is: What professions / roles constitute under category Skill Level A: professional occupations? I have searched this on the CIC website and have come to a link which lists many different professions, ranging from Management to Human Resources to Accountants....I am within the Human Resources stream and would like to know if this fits under this category or not at all.

I appreciate the quick response. Aha..thank you for clarification - now it makes sense. I will clarify the job title with the employer and then proceed to find out which category this falls under.

You are supposed to look for your job here: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/OccupationIndex.aspx Finding one where the job duties match is actually more important than the title. When you find the job that matches yours best, you will have a 4 digit code number for that job. From that number, you can see if it is skilled or not.

Code starts with 0 = Skill type 0 (examples 0111, 0631)

Code does not start with 0 but the 2nd digit is 0 or 1 = Skill level A (examples 4021, 2121)

Code does not start with 0 but the 2nd digit is 2 or 3 = Skill level B (examples 3233, 7311)
