Hello everyone,

I hope you're all having a great day!

As a student currently studying in New Brunswick, Canada, I will be finishing my studies soon. My wife and two children are in India, and I am planning to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) as soon as I complete my studies. Probably through NB Students Connect

I have a few questions regarding the proof of funds for the PR application:

  1. How much money do I need to show as proof of funds?
  2. Do I need to account for the funds required for my children as well?
  3. Since I am already in Canada, do I need to demonstrate proof of funds for my family of three or four?
I would appreciate any precise information or guidance on this matter.

Thank you!

1. If through, Express Entry then go on the site and look it up. So 4 people.
2. That would be proof of funds for all family members.
3. If you don’t have a year of Canadian work experience, you need to show proof of funds.

THe NB PNP site has the guides for each pathway.
