Currently, I am on Work Permit and living in Ottawa. Recently, we have travelled from India to Montreal and carried some Jewellery and at Montreal Airport, we have declared the Jewellery and paid the duty. I have 02 queries now:
1. As we are on Temporary Resident Visa now, I am trying to know the refund process to claim the paid duty.
2. In duty paid receipt, it is mentioned as "Advised to keep receipt if does not pursue PR for reimbursement". Does it mean that if I apply for PR, I am not eligible to get this refund? I just created profile for PR and not sure when I am going to it. So, can I claim this refund now?
