Civil Servant NOC code? Any issues regarding this?

Hi all.

I have nearly three years of experience as a civil servant. I have had a look through the NOC code list and cannot find any NOC code to match with this. Has anyone had any success immigrating as a civil servant? Or does anyone have any advice on what NOC code best fits this.

I have also read that civil servants may face restrictions as having previously worked for the government in another country. Any further info in this would be appreciated.

Thanks guys!

You need to find the NOC that best matches what you do. For example, I think all of the following could be "civil servants":
4152 Social Worker
0412 Government Managers
2131 Civil Engineers

As for restrictions, I haven't really seen that. You might be subject to more rigorous security screening to make sure you aren't a threat to Canada, but if you had a rather low level, non-policy/military/security/etc job, I'd imagine you are fine.

I've been looking at applying under NOC 1228 as I dealt with benefits.
