Hey,
please please Color Me Panda.. stop trying to figure out what it is that will make Immigration happy about your application... think about what you want and can afford first...
a civil marriage can be really cheap
You can get a license, set a date and show up to town hall and have someone there be the celebrant( more or less it might vary from town to town, the technicalities) but that is basically the idea, getting married doesn't have to cost you much, what cost a lot is inviting people and getting dressed up, throwing a party and so on..
I got married on a beach in the states. To get the wedding license it was 25 $, a permit to be on the beach was an other 25 $ and we had one of our freind get a license to be the celebrant, which was about an other 50 $, but then we spent about 5000$ total on throwing a party and getting dressed up , food, and decoration and so .. and that is still considered a very cheap wedding... Weddings under 10 000 are almost impossible.. We didn t pay for a photographer as my good freind is one, we used an IPod and created a list instead of hiring a DJ. I did the decoration, invitations and the cake/cupcakes and that kind of stuff since I am a designer, and my husband pretty much cooked the whole buffet with the help of our freind and family since he is a cheff....It was pretty mucha a "Do it yourself" wedding, which by my standards was totally fine as I love doing those kind of things.....all this for 40 guests
you make it what you want it to be.
