Or really doesn't know how immigration works in Canada. He might really think there's direct way to become Canadian, in one step. (There actually is, from what I heard/read, by joining the military or something.)

No such channel exists. Otherwise, Canada's military would have been at least 10 million strong. You have to be a PR before....

may be he meant immigration ,, but citizenship one shot ,, that line made my day
