Hello
My wife and son have reached their eligibility to submit their citizenship application whereas I am still couple of months behind due to my stay out of canada( work related travel).

I was wanting to get some advice if it will matter if my wife and son(minor) submit their application before me.
Does it impact the outcome of the process?

Considering that the citizenship bill is going to introduce new changes,I don't want to wait and get stuck in the new process.

Please advise based on your experience.

cheers,

My situation is also same as you. My wife and son (19 yrs) will be eligible to apply in April while I am in June. I got few opinion from both side in this forum. Some are in opinion to apply as soon as they qualify and some suggests apply together if I want all application to be processed together. I am not sure which way to go. As I am self employed and have total 140 days travel to the home country on family vacation and business in last 4 years and if for any reason I get RQ then their processing might also be delayed.

New law will not be in effect until later part of this year. So, if your eligibility drags you to the end of 2014 then you can apply your wife and son now as they already qualified.

Apply when you are eligible. Does not make any difference whether you apply individually or together. Each application is looked case by case basis. The only difference would be: you will have the test/oath at the same time (not a big dea). Bad thing is - if you are missing a document and if you apply in group, all application will be returned.

my say - apply whenever eligible and learn from that application for the next one.

Thanks
But did you receive any opinion in terms of outcome being different if all the applicants are not processed together?
