This post is about getting citizenship through ancestry. I apologize if I've posted it in the wrong sub-forum. (redirect me if needed)
- Background -
Great-grandfather: Canadian Citizen (born 1905 in London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada)
Naturalized in the USA in 1940 ( I have not seen the official document just the online sample)
Grandfather: USA Citizen (born 1931 in USA)
Father: USA Citizen (born 1959 in USA)
Me: USA Citizen (born 1986 in USA)
I understand that citizenship is currently limited one generation. I was born before the Citizenship Act (17 April 17th, 2009), so I am still applicable?
a. If still applicable, what next steps must I take?
b. Is it worth the money and hassle to pay for a Canadian Immigration lawyer to file documents?
Thanks everyone in advanced.
