Hi everyone,
I've seen posts from other users, including those from Scarborough, noting that they received invitations to come write the citizenship test only 8-9 months after their applied. I've been waiting over 2 years and still no sign of the test. I was asked to get my fingerprints taken (I was clean), which could delay the matter for a few months, but even then, it's been very long. Here's my timeline:
1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 13, 2012.
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 13, 2012.
3. We started processing your application on May 2, 2012.
When I called in, I was told that the average wait time is 24 months and 36 months for those who needed to get their fingerprints taken. Then how is it that others are writing their tests only 9 months after applying?
Am I missing something? :'( Thanks.
