I tried to search here but theres no faster way to do so on my phone (can’t find the search bar) other than scrolling all thread one by one.

Now that’s out, my question is, what do the citizenship officer asks during your interview?

What are the common questions they asks applicants?

How long an average interview takes?

Thank you.

Hi,
The questions depend on information provided during application and subsequent requested information. If there is no conflict the interview is straight forward else substations of information. This is my opinion.
Thanks

Lasts 5-15 min. Questions can range from your job, family (where they are, what they do), life in Canada, to your vacations, business travels outside Canada. They only ask personal questions.

Citizenship officer has two reasons to ask you questions: 1. To verify that you are the person mentioned in the application and all information in the application is accurate 2. They test your level of English (Listening and Speaking) mainly. Barely having an English language certificate is not sufficient. The immigration officer told us. before the interview.
Average time for an interview: 10 minutes

Not exactly. They asked us where do you work, how many kids, what do you work, etc...

I don't think so. You need not worry as long as the information you provided on your application about your work is accurate.
