Hello,

Hope you all are having a good day. I am trying to fill out my application and I have few questions about the citizenship applications.

Q4b). What is your name as shown exactly on your most recent immigration document?
and
Q6). List all the names that you have used

- I have a really long name. So when I received my PR Card (which is my most recent immigration document), they truncated my name and made it smaller.

For example: lets say, my name is "John smith madison carrington william." On PR card they used,
William
John smith madi
All my official documents have my full name ( "John smith madison carrington william" ), only the PR card has this truncated name.

My question is, should I write my truncated name as it appears on the PR card in Q4b? And on Q6 write my actual name (thats on my drivers license, passport etc)?

Are they going to ask me for document to prove the name difference? I dont have any as I did not change my name - the system changed it, and made it short...!

Q9c) During your eligibility period did you live outside of Canada?
- my eligibility period is from 2013-MAR to current. I landed in Canada in 2014-08.
So I have to check YES here.
How are you filling out the CIT 0177 form? This seems like a form for Crown Servant!
What are you guys doing?

Q10b) In the past 4 years, were you in another country for more than 183 days?
- If I count past 4 years, it is in 2014-MAR... I landed in Canada in 2014-AUG... so the difference here is around 150 days. I am guessing I check "No..I did not live outside for 183 days". Is that OK?

Q12b) Tell us when you filed your income taxes in the last 5 years (2013/2014/2015/2016/2017):
- I am here since 2014/15/16/17...in 2013 I was in Bangladesh... So in the chart I checkmark 2013 as Not Required to File & Taxes filed "No" - All the rest years are All checked mark as Yes. Is that OK?

Q15a) Did you successfully complete the LINC or CLIC courses from Jan 1st 2008 to Oct 31st 2012?
- Is this IELTS? I did my Bachelors from a university in USA... is that enough for the language requirement?

Thank you all for reading.

That seems to be what they expect.
They won't expect a name change form, as they are aware of the limitations of their system.

IIRC made a mess of things, so we just have to deal with it.

Include the form, marking the entries as "N/A" (and signing the form). Add a letter saying you've included the form because they asked for it, but as you've never worked abroad as crown servant (or as the spouse of a crown servant) you had no information to provide on it.

This way they can't return the application because you didn't include the form.

If you've not been back there for another 33-ish days, then yes, that is correct.
It is a total of 183 days, so if you've been back to your home country since you need to do the math to make sure you've not accumulated a total of 183 days in that one country in total.

No, these are courses organised by the different provinces in collaboration with IIRC. As you have a degree from a program delivered in English you will not have needed to take any of those courses to learn English, so you won't have their completion certificate.

You can answer "yes" to the question that you have proof, but "no" to the subsection that you completed LINC/CLIC, and include a photocopy of the degree (take the original with you when you have your citizenship test and interview).
