I didnt travel for even a single day since I landed almost 3 years ago. And I was not in canada before that.
But in the application form or RQ form they ask detail for travel history for past 4 years. So I would like to know if not being in canada before landing is considered travel?
Thanks

Follow the instructions.
Use the latest versions of the guide and all forms found at the official CIC website, and
follow the instructions, both those in the guide and in the respective forms.
Thus, if you complete and submit the application
today, then:
If you use the residency calculator --
-- if you use the residency calculator (best way to submit residency calculation), the instructions for listing absences specify the precise period of time during which an absence from Canada must be reported. If first arrival in Canada and landing date are the same, and that is less than four years prior to the date of applying, the calculator only asks for absences
after the date of landing.
If you use Form CIT 0407 "How To Calculate Residence" --
-- in contrast, if you use Form CIT 0407 "How To Calculate Residence" (basically the hard copy travel declaration form) to submit your residency calculation, the instructions refer to "
the last four years." This is not complicated. Date in "From" column would be precisely four years to the day prior to the date you sign the calculation (and the day you sign the calculation should be the same as the date you sign the application). "To" date would be the date of landing/arrival in Canada. "Destination" would be the country where you were living. "Reason for absence" column is also easy: "pre-landing."
Probably no big deal to simply leave this line out, to only populate the form with post-landing dates, but it is best to be in the habit of simply following the instructions, not second-guessing what really matters to CIC. At minimum, following the instructions lets CIC know you do indeed follow the instructions.
The thing is, you must disclose to CIC where you were living and where you were employed the
full four years anyway, in items 6.E and 6.F. of the application, the instructions for which (as of
today) specify reporting addresses "
in the past four (4) years before the date of your application," and similarly as to work and education history. Failure to follow this instruction risks the application being returned as incomplete.
IF you complete the application today but do not submit it until tomorrow or later:
Again, always use the latest version online when completing these forms.
If you complete the application one day but do not actually sent it off until the next day, or later,
be sure to check the CIC site, the day of sending it off, check the CIC site to make sure there have been no changes to the forms you used and the fees you paid, including in particular the document checklist.
Regardless of what any of us in a forum like this say today,
follow the instructions in the latest versions of the guide and forms. In this regard, note that in the past there have been occasions when CIC has changed the forms without notice, and once (last February) even changed the required fee with no notice until the day of the change.
