My parents are above 55 years of age. Few questions that are coming to mind reading the other posts

1. As they do not have to give the test does this make the process faster i.e. direct oath
2. As they do not have to give the test then does the question of RQ vanish or still could be applicable

1. I believe it might shave a few months off the total.
2. RQ can still apply.

I don't think it will be any faster for them. They still go through the same process and possibly RQ and they are notified to show up for the test even though they do not take it. When I did my test, they asked the 55 and older to go into a room where they exchanged a few words with a citizenship judge and after that they could leave while the rest of the group went on to take the test.
