Hello all,

I have applied for citizenship in the second week of April (2015). I haven't received my AOR yet.

Recently, I found that the photographs I had taken was of the wrong size :( .. I had sent them photographs for passport (which is bigger) than the size required for citizenship.
> What are the possibilities for me now? Will they sent the application package back?
> Is there any ways I can call them and send the correct size photos before I get the AOR?
> I am scared of June approaching soon and will have the C-24 take effect. If they send me the application back in June, will I come under the new rule, even though I first applied in April?
> Is there any way I can send another application package with the correct photosize, while I already have my application sent?

Appreciate your replies, advises.. Thanks!

I don't know whether your application will be returned, but if you want to send an entirely new application, I agree that you can. Just use the same payment receipt, and be sure to include a cover letter stating that you originally applied on XX-XXXX-2015 with photos of the wrong size, and would like this new application to be processed instead of the first one.

thanks for the valuable inputs. This gives me a lot of relief.

I called up CIC and they told me to wait for the package to be returned. I will probably wait for few more days and if this do not come, I would resend the package as you guys mentioned. I hope this is not going to create issues. Have anyone in here done this before?

Thanks a ton!

It most likely won't be returned but rather you will receive a letter from sydney to send new photos to local office.

Not bugging you guys - so, what would be a good suggestion here? Re-send or wait? Thanks for your great inputs.

Write a cover letter explaining the situation and send the right photos. Maybe they will accept them, maybe not but at least you tried.

You will be fine. Passport photo has identical face height 31mm-36mm as citizenship photo. Citizenship photo frame must be at least 35x45mm and passport photo is 50x70mm. You are within specs. The question is if its date stamped and sign by you.
