Citizenship for baby born aboard pls help!

Hello everybody,

Can somebody pls guide me what I'm suppose to do as my baby is born in Pakistan n my husband is in Canada,how am I suppose to submit his Canadian citizenship certificate to embassy?
Do I ve to submit his original Canadian certificate or photocopy attested?
Pls guide me!

your child already citizen. you can apply for his Pak passport and canadian passport as well.. there is no issue.. you just apply for proof of citizenship through canadian embassy ISB and they will deliver your citizenship certificate with in 8 months. after that you can easily apply for passport. passport processing time 4 weeks.. in mean time if your wife PR case finalized u can apply for emergency canadian passport for your child.. (you just need to provide them ticket copy)

if there will be any problem in emergency passport. the embassy will stamp facilitation visa on your child Pak passport.
i got my child passport after 11 months. whole process took 11 months.

Was ur visa office Islamabad?As they have told me that my husband should go to the nearest passport office in Canada n give consent letter and show his citizenship certificate. but when my husband called passport office in Canada they said they don't deal with born baby aboard.

Also citizenship certificate of my husband is very important document how can I submit it Islamabad for 8 months?what if they lose it?

please guide me, thanks alot for your help.

yes your husband should go but as per embassy advise. embassy will send you a file number for your baby and then your husband go to any near passport office to sign consent form and they will return your original document within 2 months don't worry.
