Citizenship doubt

Heya Ppl,

I have some doubts on applying for citizenship. I have a PR visa and i saw that v shud b staying 3 years to apply for citizenship and the processing takes up to 25 months. Since the PR visa is valid only for 5 yrs if ive applied for citizenship and my application is not yet processed at the end of 5 years who do i do...? hw does that work. do i need to return back or can i stay bac coz ive applied for citizenship???

Pls throw some light on it...and clear my doubt.

You need to renew your PR card until you Canadian passport.

You need to continue meeting the residency requirement of living in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years until you actually have citizenship. Having applied for citizenship doesn't give you a pass on this requirement.
