I have my citizenship ceremony next week, they stated the following in the invitation

"Have the following documents/objects available beside you for registration: permanent resident card if you have one (even if it’s expired) and your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688) and a good pair of scissors."

I have my permanent residents card BUT I do not have, and never remember having a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688)", it may be lost or I never had one.

Is this going to be an issue?

From my experience, when we landed to Canada by air, COPR (over-sized white paper) was provided to me by Canadian Immigration right in the airport together with my passport with a date stamp on Canadian immigration visa after a short interview. The COPR was stapled to the passport on Visa page.
Do you recall if the same happened to you as well?
I don't know if there are other ways of getting COPR.

I don't think there's a chance that you never had one. COPR is issued for everyone becoming permanent residents of Canada!

You might have misplaced or lost it IMO. It is a long, white sheet that contains your UCI, PR application number among other items. You would have been given 2 copies - One is your copy and the other is IRCC copy. You would have given the latter to the immigration officer when you landed in Canada. Your copy of the COPR would contain the stamp and the date to show when you landed.

I suggest that you search your premises to see if you can find it. Otherwise, you'll need to apply for a replacement document to be issued to you. This takes months.

I would recommend that you inform IRCC that you do NOT have this document beforehand so that it doesn't come as a surprise to them on the day of the oath. Unfortunately, this might result in your oath being rescheduled to a date after you receive your COPR but I'm not sure if that'll happen.

Remember, this is an extremely important document that you MUST have with you because this document is needed in order to apply for certain benefits related to old age benefits/services in Canada.

Here's the source !
