Citizenship background check status changed from complete to inprogress

Hello Everyone,

I checked my online account and found out that my background status has been changed from completed on Aug 23, 2021, to In progress on May 4, 2022.

the same thing happened to my 16 years old kid but they change it back to complete on May 9, 2022.

moreover, I completed my citizenship test on Mar 8, 2022

Has anyone ever experienced this before? and what could be the reason for that?

Hi! I am in the same boat, I got background from complete to in progress on June 25. Did you ever get a response back? Any updates on your end?

Then they might be redoing the BG since it expires within 12 months.

Hi, the status was changed back to completed a week later. I have no idea what the reason could be. Keep checking and it will probably get back to completed.
