Hello I a having a kind of unique predicament, I first came to Canada on the 30th of Sept 2014 on a student visa then in Aug 2015 I applied for asylum and was accepted on the 16th of Oct 2016. Now after the amended bill and according to the calculator provided I was to be due on the 5th of Aug 2018. I went to a community center where they assist with applications as this but they couldn't assure me that the days when I was an international student could be counted towards my eligibility. Just because it says "You may be able to use some of your time spent in Canada as a temporary resident or protected person towards your physical presence calculation. Each day spent physically in Canada as a temporary resident or protected person before becoming a permanent resident within the last 5 years will count as one half day, with a maximum of 365 days, towards your physical presence. See how it says "temporary resident permit (or) protected person" not (or)(and) that's what is confusing.
