So, I filed for Citizenship on Wednesday.

On the work history form it asks for you to provide work records? I did not supply anything as I only saw this after I Mailed away the application but the guide nor the document page asks for these... Will my application be sent back to me? Should I send away another application? I don't want to take any chances with bill C-24 looming and missing the cut off date before this law comes into effect.

Advice would be greatly appreciated...

Don't worry my friend. Your app won't be returned.

My advice is that whenever you fill any form for the government you read carefully all the instructions and if you have a doubt call the phone number provided and ask for a clarification, or visit the website. It´s better to spend 30 minutes in a phone call than waiting three or four months to have the application rejected...now you will have to wait between 3 and four months to get it back with a letter of rejection and you will have to include the missing documents.

Good luck

It might be returned, I made a similar mistake, I wrote that I was taking French classes, which I was but I had no documents to prove it, I sent the application originally in November 2012 and it was returned in March 2013 asking for documents to prove I was taking classes.

For your reference. The case from April 2014. Not from one or two years ago.

I didn't submit any supporting doc for my employment. I was worried about that too. But after 62 days I was able to see my application went in process on ecas. Based on what CIc agents told me, it seems that they first check the application to make sure they are complete: If the application is incomplete, it'll be returned in up to 40-ish days (for April applications). If the application is complete, it will go in another lineup to be processed and It'd take around 60+ for the ecas to get updated.

I am clear and sharp in my answer
IF you already submitted an application, you CANNOT send another one, unless asked to do so by the CIC or if your application is returned.
You can have only one application per person at a time, if you send another one, both might be closed or your processing will be delayed.

Why do you think so? Is there any real case for reference?

The case may be from April 201 4 (that is completely irrelevant), however the procedures are still the same, you have to prove your claims. The applicant must prove that he/she has been living in Canada and must offer proof of whatever is written in the forms, so if you were going to school you must provide written proof through a letter from the school or transcripts, same if you are working, you must send letters of employment or reference, unless you were a "homemaker" o state "seeking employment".

Just thought i'd post a quick update...

I'm literally jumping up and down right now!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

My application did NOT get sent back!!!! Got my AOR in the mail today!!! (super YAY), although I spoke with my sister (who sent in theirs like literally a day before I did) and theirs did actually get returned for some language proficiency problems...

But yeah, i guess I got lucky and i'm super excited right now... For heaven's sake, I just hope they do not request a RQ from me... It seems to become a lengthy process when that happens...

But thanks for everyone's input... Just thought i'd share my experience...

Great day for everyone!!!
