Citizenship application with the name change

Hello

I am planning to apply for citizenship near the future but I have a few questions. I've changed my first name outside of Canada, so I've seen the following information on the citizenship application process and wondering about the last one. "A document in the new name from Canadian provinces" - is it possible to have a CRA or Revenue QC document? or a SIN number document with a new name? I understand that a health card or driver's license is the best option but it's not possible to get an appointment with SAAQ this year and the same kinda situation with a health card. It may take months to get it done and more delay expected due to covid 19. However, I would like to apply it asap, hopefully, this year. Anyone can advise? Thank you.

If you have legally changed your name outside Canada and are residing in Canada
Then you must provide a copy of the following documents:

  • A foreign passport or other national authoritative documentation amended to reflect the new name;
  • A foreign name change document that links your previous name to your new name, such as a foreign marriage certificate (with an official translation); and
  • A document in the new name from Canadian provinces or territories (ex. driver's licence, health card, age of majority card, senior citizen’s identification card, or social service card)

if you have a name change certificate it's very easy to get Driver's license. In Alberta it cost me $30ish and 2 weeks waiting, the registry also changed my health card. Super easy.
I wouldn't risk it with IRCC, they will likely to return the application

Hi canadavisa3. Were you able to obtain a provincial ID from Quebec in your new name? What procedure did you follow? And information will be helpful because I'm in a similar situation.

The IRCC asks for a provincial document in my new name, while Quebec asks for an immigration document in my new name. The only was and to be to undergo a legal change of name in Quebec.
