Citizenship application with pending spousal sponsorship

Hi,

Can I apply for Canadian citizenship with a pending spousal sponsorship for my wife? Does it matter what stage of the spousal sponsorship should I apply for the Citizenship? I have just submitted the spousal sponsorship few weeks ago and my wife have not yet received an AOR.

Yes .. your citizenship has nothing to do with spousal sponsorship.

Be prepared that a question may come up in the interview in regards to your wife, but only because they will likely have visibility of her application. There's no reason for you not to proceed with your citizenship application.
