Citizenship application received on Jun 11, 2015

Hey guys just wondering if anybody else had this situation.


I mailed my application on Jun 9 but it was received by the office on Jun 11. My application was prepared based on the old policy (3 year residence in 4 years). I met that residency requirement but didn't meet the new policy (4 years residency in 6 years). They later returned my application saying it is incomplete according to the new policy.

My question is, has anybody else had the same situation (application received on or after Jun 11) but got accepted and processed by the old policy? Or has anybody appealed and succeeded? Thank you.

Seems nobody was under this situation.... Was expecting to see quite a few replies lol.

Hey,

I'm not in the same situation as you since my application was received on June 9th, but on CIC's website the following is stated:

'' Citizenship application forms were updated on June 11, 2015. All applications received on or after June 11, 2015 must use the latest forms or they will be considered incomplete and will be returned. This includes resubmitted applications. ''

I'm guessing your application fell under the new requirements and cannot apply with the current number of days you have..
