Hello,

We started a document preparation services for immigration consultants last January, and was given a business license last Feb 19. Haven't applied anything for CRA yet as well. but last March 7, my partner backed out. I tried moving it to a sole proprietorship, but as per registery services rule, I was asked to file a dissolution. So I did, and I thought I will just apply and open another company when I'm done my immigrAtion course to not have a confusion.

Now my question is, my PR card expires on November 29, 2018. So I am planning to aplly for citizenship. My question is do I include this on my application that I was a partner of a company even if we haven't operated yet but was issued a business license or not? Please advise.

Listing it ensures that IRCC has all information about your activities. If you want to make it clear the business didn't operate, you could describe the activity as something like "Business startup attempt".

You have documentation of the steps you took to register and then dissolve the business, so if IRCC wants you to prove your activities (they rarely do so, but sometimes it happens) you can show them those papers.

Thank you for insight. Yes, as I don't want complications in the future.
