Hello Everyone,
I submitted my Canadian Citizenship application in November 2017 and it was received in Sydney on December 5th, 2017.
Unfortunately it was returned to me in January 2018 with a letter saying: Your application for Canadian Citizenship was considered incomplete and was not processed because you have not submitted two (2) identification documents.

As part of the document submitted I included photocopies (first two pages) of all valid and expired passports and also photocopy of my Permanent Resident Card (front & back) .

They recommended me to review section “Step 3 Gather Documents” in the istruction guide for more information.
After reviewing the indicated section what it described as document to be submitted with the application is just a photocopy of personal identification and not two.
Can someone please tell me if the identification document I submitted is not correct and why Authorities are requesting me two documents insted of one as described as per guideline ? Thanks

Sorry to hear about your experience!

The PR card is not considered...

You should have sent either a copy of your driver's license and/or provincial health card along with your valid and expired (within the past 5 years) passports with no gaps in terms of dates; and if there is any, an explanation letter to explain the gaps.

Check the checklist again!

Pr card should consider because it is government id

It says photo is issued by government

Any way now it is return so no more urge

Now what you do : write a cover letter explain why Is return and resend

When you resend question 3: you should answer NO

thanks

Let me clarify:
Document checklist does not require PR card
But it can be used (some do) in addition to another ID such driver's licence

According to the checklist: 2 pieces of ID are required apart from copies of passport bio pages
