I am getting ready to apply for Citizenship. I landed in Feb 2016. I worked in Canada legally and got an extension based on a decision that my pr application was favorable ( implied status) then the extended visa until October until a decision was made on my PR application. There was no decision made and I was under the impression that I was allowed to continue to work until I get my pr card which I did. I overstayed for about 3 months and work which I was told my lawyer and wait for my PR card or a decision and then leave the country once i receive my COPR and come back which I had no issues. I am worried based on my overstay and working which I paid taxes for the same employer, will this be an issue when I apply for citizenship
Let me know your thoughts?? My Lawyer said I will be fine as they are checking for presence in Canada since being a PR and if I am eligible
