Citizenship Application - Minor status(Online no updates)

Dear All,
I had applied for the citizenship application along with my 8 year old son, the application status is in-progress and waiting for Oath with further instructions, i have few questions.
1) My sons application status is not showing any status post AOR in the online tool. I presume its the case for all the minors who are part of the principal applicant.
2) When i apply for passport, post obtaining the citizenship certificate, can i apply on his behalf and sign the application, as he is minor, just like the Citizenship grant application.

Please share the thoughts inputs here.
