I need some help here. I am a Permanent Resident and living in Canada since Jan 2022 and I got divorced in March 2023. I am planning to file my citizenship application this month. I have 3 questions -
1. I still have my ex spouse name in my passport(I have divorce certificate so I don't think it should be a problem). Can anyone confirm this?
2. We filed for divorce in 11th month just 1 month before 1 year. When we came on PR our status was married but we were living separately - Can IRCC claim that we misrepresented in our application? we genuinely tried to patch up but unfortunately things fell apart. We were not officially separated but living separately and informed Ontario court that we have been living separately for 2 years.
3. I informed CRA about my marital status but did not inform IRCC as I got information that informing CRA was enough.
Would appreciate if anyone can help on this and give clarification on these questions.
