Dear Members,

I need a quick guidance. I have recently submitted my Application for Canadian Citizenship Adult (CIT 0002) which reached IRCC on 10th August 2021. But after submitting I identified a mistake. I misunderstood question 13 and I mistakenly thought that IRCC was asking for the information over the last 5 years and only about Permanent Residency and Citizenship. I actually held a student visa for a year in UK in 2011. I also had a work permit in UK for 2012 - 2014, which I never used. I only included the citizenship information of my country of birth.

Can anyone please tell me what is the process to correct this mistake on an already submitted application?

The only way to correct this would be to send in a webform AFTER you receive AOR and then request IRCC to add this information to your file.

I also did the same mistake of not entering my student and work visa from the UK, schengen visa and B1/B2 visa, just entered citizenship info while submitting the application on 18th August realising the mistake today. I am glad you have asked the question @phoenix1985. Also thanks for your response @rajkamalmohanram

I have few questions.
1) Do we have to mention visa on arrival as we had one for Mauritius which was given for 10 days?
2) Do you think there might be a chance of our application being sent back due to this mistake saying it is incomplete? Any history of it happened, as I have seen few ppl having made same mistake but there was no update regarding it later.
3) This might sound silly but this is a family application and both of us are not in the country and may return only after a while so it should not affect us in submitting the webform, right?( I am assuming webform is a online web form and NOT to be sent in physical as it was a paper application)

Thanks

1. If I were you, I'd submit all the statuses that I held including visitor statuses.
2. No.
3. Shouldn't be an issue. It is online.
