I have recently sent the citizenship application for my 20 months old, twins babies (they were born abroad a few months before I became a Canadian citizen.) Does anybody know how fast they will process their application in this case ? Thanks you in advance for your answers!

I have started a spreadsheet for non concurrent minors, which is what our children are. There aren't many of us on here, so it's going to be hard to find the answers you're looking for. I submitted my sons application in August and still haven't heard back from Sydney. It's been crickets.

Thank you for your answer Saria1. As they don't have to do the test, take the oath or have any background check, I hope the procedure will be fast.

I think what slows them down is waiting for Sydney to ask for their PR cards. Then it's a matter of how long does it take them to get back to their file. I hope it's under 12 months, but CIC's customer service told me to go on the 24 month timeline. Also, I think things are going to be considerably slowed down since Trudeau wants 25,000 refugees processed before the end of the year. Honestly, I think all applications in CIC are going to slow down because of this. :-\
