Citizenship application concerns

Hi Canadavisa Forums,

I'm a Canadian permanent resident, and will be eligible to apply for citizenship in a few months.

However, I'm looking to get married to a US greencard holder, should I wait until my citizenship application is processed? or would I be able to update the application with my marriage status?
