Hey all I hope you are doing fine
I have a query with regards to my citizenship application, I am currently gathering the application package and I am ready to apply However, I have a small issue that I am unable to resolve.
I have seen a similar case on the forum but I didnt get how he/she went through solving it
The issue is that, I soft landed for 15 days, 4 years ago and in that time I had a shared room rented for this brief period of time, but because it didnt have a reliable pobox and because I didnt know if i was going to stay longer in that acoomodation, I opted to giving my uncle's address in Canada to the immigration officer so they can send my PR card there.
Now when I declare my address in thr address history, should I mention the room that I rented and paid for, or my uncles house.

Also a very important point to state and that is back in those days, we HAD to fill the customs landing card in order to go through customs in that form I foolishly stated my uncle's address as well because I didnt know better and I thought that they take the PR address from this card and so I did that.

Now I am worried that since I declared this as my address that if I mentioned that I stayed in the shared room, my application will look suspicious. Could someone help me figure out what to do?. I am supposed to send the package soon.

Did you provide the address for that room anywhere else on legal documents? For example for your drivers' licence or health card? If not, then you can just list your uncle's address, if you were only in the room for 15 days anyway.

Also, there is an understood concept of residential address vs mailing address. What you can also do is write the address of the room for 15 days as that is where you physically stayed, and then in a separate explanation letter you can clarify that you used your uncle's address as your mailing address during this time as the room didn't have a reliable mailing address. It shouldn't impact your application much.

I did not provide the address anywhere no.
I could do that, and by "shouldnt impact my application much" do you mean that it might impact it?

I meant to say it's not something very concerning and it most likely won't affect anything so you don't have to worry.
on an unrelated matter, or related somehow, does long periods of soft landing or unemployment impact the application? Soft landing and absence of 10 months and unemployment of 6 to 7 months
