Citizenship and PR renewal

Hi I just have a quick question. I have applied for my citizenship and I have taken my test which states completed under the tracker. My PR card has expired, am I able to renew my PR card? I plan to travel back home March with my children for 10 days and would need PR card. I have heard they won’t process my PR renewal since in the system it’s marked that I passed my test. Just some insights if I can renew and travel while awaiting oath.

both are independent, you can apply for a PR card renewal if you intend to travel
