Hi, I was born in Canada when my parents were studying there. I left Canada when I was two years old and have lived in Venezuela since then. Now I am interested in moving to Canada and I want to know what do I need to do in order to have all my documents to look for a job, rent a house, have an insurance, etc. right now I just have my canadian passport.

Thanks

A Canadian passport is enough to travel to Canada. In order to work, you need a social insurance number (SIN). You can get that at any Service Canada office. Anybody can rent a house and get insurance.

One more thing you have to apply for is health care. Depending on the province, you may get coverage right away or after 3 months. If you move to a province with a 3 month waiting period (BC, NB, ON, QC) you should get travel insurance to make sure you are covered if you have an accident or acute illness.

I don't know if you have a drivers license but if you do and you want it recognized in Canada, you will still have to take the tests but you may be spared the 1 year of learners license which you can't really drive on. If you don't have a license, then never mind.
