At the moment I'm planning to land in Toronto in mid-August, but still not sure about the exact dates. And most probably I'll stay for 1 month only because I need to complete my current work contract in Japan. I'll keep you posted and follow your process too.

In fact I checked my Ecas status yesterday and it still was "In process" ! I'll check again later to see if it was updated.

Hi Shakira,
My friend did her medicals two weeks before you but has not received her visa yet. Does that mean that the Tokyo office is trying to finalize old applications before the get to the new ones? After you got yours, we at least know that her medicals have been received too. I guess they might be waiting for security check results or they are giving priority to the old applications.

I entered into the Ecas system and found the update:

Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application.
The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Strange that your friend has not received anything yet.... well I don't know if they're finalizing old applications first... maybe it was just good timing for my case.
