Cic query - lawyer suggestions

Hello guys,

I received letter from cic querying about my past addresses of 10 years.when i initially fiilled the form I picked some random apartment numbers for few addresses from India although address are correct. Today i went to the lawyer they said they can take this up and prepare a peoper response for it and they infact will be my use of Representative for future processing.

Guys i really need your help to know that if at this point i go with a layer would that make my case weak. Now cic will can think that if am going with lawyer so might be something fishie in my case.
But honestly except my addresses problem everything i provided is true.

Letter for my address history feom India.

It's not fishy to get help. And you don't need the lawyer to be added as a representative at all. Just go pay for their time to help you complete a response and then submit it.

The lawyer is doing what lawyers do....looking to make himself some money. It may not seem like it or might seem like a little thing but you lied to CIC about your addresses by "picking random apartment numbers" that weren't actually apartments in which you lived. Lawyer or no lawyer you are in trouble and I don't see how you or a lawyer could spin this. Good luck

Now am getting really panic because i wasnt sure if CIC will verify at that level. Because if i have said right apartment which i dont remember how cic can verify because there was no proof at all. No lease because it was bachelor and i was just added to it.

wht did they ask you for last 10 year , they asked you to provide proof r wht. If you are not confident how to handle going with lawyer is not a issue at all, it dependent on what they asked to provide .

My question is, why didn't you just stick with the street numbers which you say you correctly entered? Why add apartment numbers? CIC clearly suspects that something is amiss which is why they are asking for clarification. Many people don't remember the finer points such exact move in or move out dates, you are expected to give the information to the best of your ability but I don't know how you explain the apartment numbers that aren't even a requirement. You choose to mislead them about something unnecessary. I'm not sure how to explain it away because I'm not sure exactly your reason for doing what you did

This is the letter i received they didn't ask for the proof but just details

This letter is about your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue the review of your application we require that you provide us with detailed information for the time period between January 2006 and July 2011. Please provide us with residency, occupation/studies, travels, etc. for the period mentioned. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc). If you were studying, please provide the location of studies, time period when you took the course. If you participated in a distance education program/online studies, please indicate the name of the institution, the location where course was taken, etc. You must identify your activities during the specified period detailing day, month and year for each entry.

I totally understand i did big blunder...
Reason was i guess it was not allowing me to more forward.

If i sumbmit letter of explanation and now mention the correct apartment. Will they again ask for any proof? Because those were in the past different cities which i have no proofs and connecrion.

What if i stick to the old given numbers and provide the same again? Please advice

Ok first of all ;the rush of applying in a certain deadline makes all of us stressed out and thats why sometimes this can lead someone to this kind of problematic situations....

I am not an expert and I dont know how the form they want looks like but this time dont make up apartment numbers and instead give them only the info that you are 100% sure of because if you again provide apartment numbers and if they dont match with what you have declared before, then it may make things worse ... and be specific about what you were doing as they said (studying , working etc etc)... dont make things more complicated by providing different random numbers.... I am sure you remember street names and etc, provide these and dont make up anything else...

Do i need to write any additional explanation for this? Do you think cic can again come back and ask number and further info? I dont have any further proof of me staying in those addresses in the past.
