My roommate and me heard this morning on the radio that CIC will be extending their quota that was recently filled. They will apparently process 1000 additional applications and allow the best 1000 people who didn't get in to get an opportunity to enter under the old system.

Does anyone knows more about this?

And how are they gonna find 1000 best? I highly doubt it!

Sure they are, since they sent the applications back. Shouldn't listen to rumours .

I think what you probably heard was this:

http://calgaryherald.com/storyline/the-federal-government-has-quietly-thrown-a-lifeline-to-albertas-temporary-foreign-workers-facing-a-april-1-deadline-to-leave-the-country

Nothing to do with CEC or FSW, affects only the TFW's in Alberta who had a deadline to leave Canada. They're estimating about 1,000 of them are going to be eligible for this bridging visa they've created for them only.
