CIC Online Payment Failed

Hi Guys,

we are new to this community, and we are glad to have this kind of forum to help us fellow applicants.

We are about to submit our application,
but our online payment always fails we have tried the following:

1. Install New Java
2. Update the Browser

but still no luck.
we are from United Arab Emirates and we are using a credit card issued here.

we don't know what to do.

I have heard that online payment facility is ONLY for inside Canada applicants...just make sure on this part.

I paid online and was successful. I have used also a Mastercard issued in Saudi Arabia. Did you check with your bank already? I don't believe that paying online is applicable only for applicants within Canada otherwise there should not be an option for choosing the country in this online facility.

if the address associated with your Mastercard/visa is not used when making online payment, it won't work. I knw in canada, postal code should match. Hope it helps.

Can i use my father's credit card to pay my processing fee who lives in KSA while i m in Pak?

arif.jabbar is correct about the address. Just make sure that the address you provided your bank is the same as the address you provided in the online application. I knew this because I made a mistake in my first attempt too. I am now living in my home country but I used to live in UK. I wanted to use my UK Visa debit card as my CC in my home country is so minimal. On my first attempt, I provided my address in my home country in the online payment form. I tried again using UK address and it went through successfully. So, my suggestion here is look at your latest bank statement and follow the exact address you provided from there.

Additionally, some debit and credit cards are not permitted for online transaction, depends really on your bank. Or CIC does not accept payments from certain banking institutions. For instance, in UK some online retail stores do not accept SOLO debit card payments which was what some banks in UK provide to foreign students.

That's not true, I was able to pay from my home country and through a UK banking institution. This really depends on the bank. So, if writing the correct address still doesn't work. Talk to your bank.

No, there isn't any charge on failed transactions.

I remember I had issues even when I was using the online application from Inside Canada. I tried couple of times with my card it did not go through and then I used another credit card and it did.. The systems are temperamental so keep trying for it to accept it. I remember I had to try continuously for couple of days before it was approved.
