Some of us will become citizens in time to vote and others have relatives and friends who are citizens already and obviously can and will influence them. And obviously those like myself, waiting for more than 3 years for my application to be processed, will not vote nor support the conservatives in any way.

I hate to tell you those stats mean alot, but not for you. You applied at what possibly is the worst time to apply ever. Its cases like yours that triggered the need for action, but the action did so little to you. I also hate to tell you that people who applied way after you did, and also got RQ, are now citizens.
