CIC implementing NEW Citizenship Rule- Likely Dates

Hi,

I have gone through several threads and looks like several people have specified different dates for when new Citizenship Law will come into enforcement. Following are the some of the dates that I frequently came across. Please let me know if you have something to add or have any new information.

1. June 19, 2015
2. July 1, 2015
3. Sometimes after October 2015
4. Not before 2016 for sure
5. Likely in 2016.

what are you trying to achieve from this thread. When the new law will be implemented, no one from this forum knows. You just have to wait and see. The reason you have different dates is because is person A is eligible for Citizenship June 2015, he/she will have the 'best hope' that the law will be implemented July 2015! Its just a false hope and same is the story for other dates.

The only take away and hopefully fact is that Minister has said that 'a year' when the bill was passed in June 2014... hence June 2015 but things may change... watch for the news and CIC website.

Can you help us understand the reasoning of starting this thread? As you have mentioned there is already a huge amount of threads floating around in the forum related to this subject. No one knows when it will be implemented at best all can only guess so what is the end result of started yet another thread on the topic?

Sorry, but for a moment I thought you are posting an answer to the million dollar Q, by looking at the subject. I think no need of another thread on this subject for opening a discussion, unless you were to post it to solve the mystery.
