Hi All

So the confusing Canadian migration process continues it is now well over my Application Estimated Time Period. I submitted an online application pack as good as humanly possible yet there has been no updates.

So this morning I see a do not reply email from CIC, and I thought "Yes, finally" only to receive the following email:

Has anyone ever received a similar email and how am I suppose to intemperate this?

The way I read this is that my application hasn't been opened yet, after exactly 31-days despite estimate processing time being 22-days. Since there has been Zero updates on my application.

I dont want to be rude, but wow I only want to go for a 12-day visit to see my Canadian born friend, dont get whats the hold up.
She is now quickly getting angry at me since she keeps on having to change her dates at work and doesn't understand the "delay" thinking it is my fault, which is probably fair enough, since you can only change your holiday dates so many times.

This is quickly turning into a nightmare, and a potential loss of a close friendship.

As always ANY DROP of advice appreciated.

It's always best not to assume (in my opinion).

It's not true that your application has not been seen as yet. Visa offices don't post all the internal checks and processes that are being done on applications. Applicants are not privy to such information (and should not be).

The email you received is a standard one which applicants get when processing crosses one month.

I would not firm up my travel plans and/or book tickets or hotels until a visa is issued. Hopefully, your friend will understand that visa processing is not something that you have control over.... and visa offices must do what they need to do before they let someone into the country

It just means you checked the box in your MyCIC front page about getting monthly updates on your application. There happened to be none.
