CIC Call Centre - How to reach an agent?!

CIC changed their phone menus, options, everything! The old trick of pressing "0" to reach an agent doesn't work anymore. I tried everything but couldn't reach anybody.

Has anybody tried the new phone system and was able to reach a human?

I have to talk to someone - I sent my PR application by mail over a month ago and haven't heard since! I don't have a file number or anything either (The phone system eventually asks for it if you go through with the PR application option).

Anybody able to advise?!

You sent the application 1 month ago? You have to wait and that's it. You will hear from them, and be given a file number, when they get to your application and start processing.

Edit. What class did you apply under? Family Class, Skilled Worker, etc? This will affect your wait time as well.

It's been more than a month... I applied through PNP. I came across posts online that said people received theirs in the first month that they applied in.
