CIC $5 fee on credit card

Hello everyone,

Just noticed my cc statement and see a $5 charge from CITIZENSHIP & IMM ON-L OTTAWA ON which is bizarre. I have paid all the fees using online and have submitted the fees receipt and never have given the card number.

I had sponsored my wife - paid full fees
Applied for citizenship - paid full fees
Paid for friends PR - paid full fees.

Does any one know about this charge.

Any help is appreciated

Did you order your GCMS notes? Depending which way you do it can cost $5.

Don't worry, I did the exact same thing. Looking at my bill: 5$ Why? What? How? (5 minutes later) Oh, right.

I have yet to receive those notes though, even though I ordered them on March 25th.

MilesAway, a good idea would be to send an e-mail to the ATIP Division, asking them what's going on. we had a significant delay as well and sent them an e-mail. responded ASAP saying that our request was set as a priority and next day got the notes too

LOL, now that cracked me up I actually noticed a CIC charge on my card today too, except it was for $4.13, it threw me off, until I remembered the CDN is worth less than the USD.
