Hello Everyone.

I am aware that there were lot of threads in past, but I was not able to find any solid answer hence I am trying to find a solution. I have tried every thing in my hand to get Chinese PCC, but as I was on F type work permit non of the agencies are willing to help me( I have proof of that). I have also tried to give authorization letter to my friend in China, but even that attempt failed. So finally I am writing a long letter of explanation to CIC.
My question is has anyone gone through such a process and got their PCC waived off.

Any inputs on this would be appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

Not for China, but yes (I provided for 2 countries, and had 2 waived). There are a quite a few countries for which getting the PCC as a non-resident, non-citizen is next to impossible. And IRCC really does not contemplate people quitting jobs and spending thousands upon thousands of dollars to try to get PCCs (esp. when they're not worth the paper they're printed on).

But the point is, if you follow their directions and make a good-faith effort to get it, provide proof of those efforts, and still area unable to get it, then IRCC can be reasonable. (My documentation was about 1/2 inch thick for each country). Esp. if you are able to provide PCCs from other countries.

On the other hand, if you do not make a good faith effort, do not document your efforts or offer proof that it is not possible, then IRCC will not accept excuses. IRCC will know which countries are genuinely difficult, and when people are just being lazy.

Of course there are no guarantees and the rules are frequently changing. But you won't be the first and you won't be the last to fail to get the PCC from China.

In my case, it may have delayed the processing time. But it worked out - hopefully, someone with more recent experience can also chime in.
