chinese passport waiting for US temporary green card

client is married to US citizen and is holding a current PRC passport. Waiting for US green card which is suppose to be a temporary green card. Their cruising out of Vancouver BC, will there be an entry problem?

Yes, as s/he doesn't have the "green card" she will require a TRV (visitor visa) to sail out of Vancouver. You should also check with USINS to see what s/he needs to re-enter the US.
