I am currently an international student, and I am planning to send my 2 children here to study next school year. They are 12 & 16 years old and have a valid visit visa.
Should I write to ircc to allow them to travel, and apply for their student permit at the same time?

When do your studies end? You can attempt to get a study permit or TRV for your children (TRV should be enough but some VOs are demanding study permits). You will need to show that you have the extra funds to support them. Other than that we don’t know what other factors go into deciding what dependents get approved to come to Canada with international students. For SOWP you need over 6 months left in your studies. To travel your children will need authorization to travel and to show that their travel is essential. When coming to Canada they will need approval of their other parent to travel or proof that you have full custody.

Thanks. My program will end in April 2022. So I need to submit proof of funds together with my letter for authorization in order to ask for the kids' study permit and approval for my husband as well in order to travel with them, right?

They need written authorization to travel and enter Canada. What grade is your 16 year old in?
Thanks, my 16-year-old will be in grade 11 next school year. Any idea if there is something I need to do in order to apply for the study permit? Or I just write them for the authorization to travel and just state the intention to study here?

Is your husband also trying to relocate to Canada? Flying to drop off your children will unlikely be considered essential travel at the moment. Are they from a visa exempt country? There isn’t a published set of requirements to get your family approved to accompany you while you study.

No he will not relocate, he will just travel with the kids to assist them. They all have valid visit visa.

If they have valid visas then all they need is written authorization to travel.
