Hi There!
Fist off, this is a great forum and I'm so happy it exists!
My husband is American and I'm Canadian and we will be applying for Outland Spousal Sponsorship.
We have been married almost 6 years and have been waiting until his youngest child turned 19 to apply. For two reasons...because my husband didn't want to feel like he was abandoning him, and also because his son wants absolutely nothing to do with the immigration process. He refuses to do the medical and just wants no part of any of it, saying he is an adult and basically, we can't make him. The boys mother is extremely uncooperative as well.
Now that the age has risen to 22 to not be on the form (the son is 20 now), we don't know what to do. We really don't want to have to wait another two years to apply. Would they be sympathetic to this scenario, or is it very cut and dry? Any suggestions would be very helpful.
On a side note....they want 10 pages of text messages/emails. Is that 10 screenshot messages or 10 full pages?
Thanks so much!

1. If the son wants nothing to do with immigration, ever, then your husband can apply for PR describing the child as non-accompanying and in a letter of explanation he can explain that he will not be joining his father in Canada. IRCC may require you to have a statutory declaration made acknowledging that your husband will be forever barred form sponsoring his son.

2. I believe it says "up to" ten pages. And that's pages, not messages.
